*spoiled rotten*

I was totally spoiled this year for my birthday. Sam's been really wanting to go bowling for a while now, so I told him we could go for his birthday. Well, we tried that, but some crazy leaguers had the lanes until 9 pm when we went, so that didn't work. So we decided to wait until my birthday to go (3 long days). The kids had a great time. Mia was a very serious bowler.

Sam was the king of bumpers. I couldn't get over how cute these kids were in bowling shoes.

I kind of had this crazy thing happen... well, besides the fact that I beat everybody by 21 points and I was 7 1/2 months pregnant (Jared wasn't too proud of that)... I kept getting 9 pins down on every frame (with several spares thrown in). That happened for 7 frames. Kind of freaky considering that I am born on Feb 9th and I am 29 this year! Well, I thought it was freaky anyway.

Then we came home and I blew out candles on my NY cheesecake (yummy!) fresh from NY city. I was also sent a bouquet of chocolate dipped strawberries from my fellow Primary presidency members. So, so yummy. The kids and Erica and Jared graciously helped me eat it. I can't get over how many people called me to wish me happy birthday... and also the thoughtful packages (I love you Alicia!!), cards, flowers from my sweet children (with much help from a good sister), calls, etc. I feel so loved!!

But really, that was just the ends of the partying because I got to party the whole night before with Jared and Erica in NY city. We hired a babysitter for the kids and took off that afternoon. We met Jared in Times Square and had dinner at a half rate, overpriced, supposedly famous Deli called "The Roxy".

They had pretty good pickles though.

Then we headed off to see "Wicked". Erica had a little too much to drink at dinner, but we got her sobered up enough in time for the show.

This is an illegal picture we took of the set before getting caught by the usher. For anyone who hasn't seen this show it's about what happens in Oz before Dorothy shows up. The two main characters are Elfaba, the "wicked" witch of the west and Glinda, the "good" witch of the North. It has awesome songs and a great story. A must see for anyone!

After the show we looked around some shops on Times Square. I got a little carried away in the Hershey's store...

Erica was trying to figure out how she would fit this enormous chocolate bar in her carry on.

We had such a fun night in the city! What a memorable birthday to finish off my twenties... spent with 2 of my favorite people in the whole world.

Thank you to everyone for an awesome day!!

We just went bowling last weekend! I wish I had brought my camera so I could have cute pics too! G and R both brought the balls to the lane by themself, which was super hilarious. G kept turning around and giving us a big thumbs up after he rolled the ball and then he would jump up and down in circles when the ball hit the pins. So fun! Happy Birthday to all you Barlows!! Love ya and miss you!!

I love you AKB! Happy belated birthday! I wish I was one of those friends that remembered everyone's birthday and always sent a special little package that arrived promptly on their special day, but I'm not, so oh well. I loved all the pictures on this post, and I so want to come visit and have you take us out on the town. How long will you guys be in CT?
