*10 years... and seems like yesterday*

This year marks the 10 year reunion of my graduation (or acknowledgement of survival) from high school. It was a pretty easy decision to skip the "official" reunion (75 bucks a head to visit with people that I don't really miss). A few of my close friends and I decided to do our own reunion since I was going to be in town for a while and they live nearby. First of all, let me introduce the crew...

Michelle- aka "Skinny Kinney"
the smart one
The spoiled one (though not to be mistaken as a "spoiled brat")
Always had the best food at her house.

Lisa- aka "Fartin' Martin"
the runner
the chauffeur and the
Best brownie maker in the west.

Alyssa- aka "Alyssa Kalissa"
The "uncouth" one
the nacho thrower and
New Mexican Chow hound.

Shan- aka "Shanner Bananer"
The one with the best hair
The churchy one
Best party thrower

(Due to recent marital bliss commitments, Shan was unable to attend our reunion. She was greatly missed.)

Rules for reunion: No kids, No dogs, and no spouses. Somehow we all worked it out with the parties involved and had a truly unattached weekend.

We headed up to Ruidoso- a pretty small town in Southern New Mexico famous for being the place that Billy the Kid frequented and I think even bit the dust in. Now it's a little ski/tourist town with one main drag and lots of little shops and such. Michelle's in-laws had a great cabin just outside town which they generously offered for us to use. Obviously they DIDN'T know us in high school!

The cabin was awesome inside and had everything we'd need for a great weekend of relaxation... DVD player, great sound system, comfy beds, stocked kitchen, and deck with a view.

We went into town Friday and Saturday for several hours and shopped and ate at a few restaurants... one being a totally delicious steak house. The prime rib, homemade bread, and salad bar were to die for.

We took a little hike on Saturday that ended up being quite strenuous. The non-pregos almost ended up dragging the prego up the hill, but I made it. It was definitely the altitude... uh, yeah!

The rest of the time we just relaxed around the cabin and giggled, watched movies ("Bourne" anyone?), gossiped, and just caught up on the last 10 years. The amazing thing about true friends is being able to get together after so many years and feel like you've never been apart.

I hope you guys had as much fun as I did. Until next time...

Hey Alyssa---Enjoyed the intros and seeing the pics...your blogs are always so entertaining. If I start one for our house build I have a lot to live up to. I definitely had a great time as well and look forward to doing it again. Hopefully we can all do this again next year! Michelle

It is fun to have reunions, huh? Looks like you had a good time. By the way, you are looking nice and slim for being 17 weeks prego! (wolf whistle)
