Some people may have wondered what happened to me. I am usually pretty good about keeping up my blog, but I have fallen into an strange state of being since returning to the states. I guess you could say I am in an "America coma". That's the only way I can think to describe it. It feels so good to be home that I just sit around and soak it all in. Every now and then I'll venture from home for just long enough to visit an oft-visited and long loved restaurant or store... and then I'll come home and cuddle in an incredibly soft bed with some obscenely large beverage or candy bar and read about vampires. It's a very comfortable way to acclimate to the familiar, but somehow new surroundings of home.
I was in Oregon for 10 days visiting with Jared's incredible family and a few days ago me and the kiddos headed out on an airplane to New Mexico to visit my family. For us right now home is where you hang your toiletry bag. We'll be here until we get a place lined up in NY and the moving truck gets sent across the US with our scant belongings to furnish it. Jared started work in New York a few weeks ago, so needless to say, we miss him. He is such a good husband to me and always scopes out the new territory so thoroughly that I know we'll end up in a great place. I am excited to see what he finds this time!
So you might wonder about the title of my post. Since February 9th I have been addicted to the vampire trilogy written by Stephenie Meyer- Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse. The third book came out in August, but being overseas it wasn't available yet. So as soon as I hit US soil I got my paws on it and just finished it... sigh. I realize that a large majority of you may be thinking... vampires? Well, my response to you is the title of my blog. So now I just have to get my fingers on the last book of the Eragon Series... dragons. I am a total dork when it comes to adolescent literature and mythical creatures. Sam approves of the dragon series as I will tell him dragon stories in the car or for bedtime when I am in the mode. He'll even stop mid-request... "heeeey mooooom. I want a drin... oh- you are reading the dragon book? It's ok, I can get it." Very nice of him.
Let's see, what else can I ramble about... ah yes. My procrastination. I have been meaning to post some pics of the rest of my trip, but it's just hanging over my head! There are sooooo many of them and sooo much to say-- it's quite daunting. I will get around to it. The other problem is that Jared is the one who started the whole thing and he is so darned thorough! I will just have to Sum it up Alyssa style and screw the whole "day blah blah" if I am ever going to get it posted. Sorry honey. I love you and the way you do things- that's part of the reason I married you, because I love that about you. I will do my best to be as descriptive as possible and not go too far off the deep end or be to vague about details- but my readers need to see the summation of our journeys before our life falls into the complete abyss of the American Dream. I hope you understand.
I think I'm slightly off my rocker tonight. What does that mean anyway? Off my rocker... what does that refer to? Too tired to think about it. Losing my marbles. I understand that one. Or how about just plain old pregnant with two kids... best excuse for craziness around.
Goodnight.

No worries - we love the vampire series around here too! Thanks for the tip about the Eragon series, I have thought about getting it but wasn't sure. Now, I guess I will had to the bookstore:) So glad that you are all adjusting and getting to see family! Good times!
I love vampires too! What are we going to do until the next book? The other day I contemplated naming my next son Edward. Anyway, always love the blog. Enjoy the family and I hope you'll get to be with your hubby soon. Love ya
I guess I should start reading... But my house will get messy..hmmm
I'm a Twilight series addict myself. I just finished the third book and I'm feeling lost without another book that's as fun. I'm going to state for the record that I'm a huge Jacob fan.
I totally neglected my family and all my responsibilities while I read all three books. They are wonderful. I miss Edward.
