I love October, and I love Halloween. I think I have rubbed off on my kids because they love it to. We count down to Halloween like most people count down to Christmas. There's something really fun about creepy stuff and dressing up. Sam decided he wants to be a bat. He bugged me for about 13 days and 22 hours about making his bat costume (starting in Sept). Every day I heard multiple times, "have you made my costume yet?" So finally last week I buckled down and did it. I still need to add the ears to the top of the hood, but its pretty much done. He is getting a lot of practice wearing it. Just about everyday at some point he turns into a bat.
Mia is another story. She changes her mind just about every day. Princess, butterfly, witch, fairy, pumpkin... I can't get this girl to commit. Sam rolls his eyes at her and explains to strangers, "she can't make up her mind." We'll have to wait til the big day to see what she's decided on. I am definately not making anything for that girl until the day before.
These are some cute Halloween cookies we made in Oregon with Jared's sisters and their kids. I love the eyeballs. These are some of Sam's creations.

Oh - totally agree LOVE Halloween! How adorable are those cookies! I am also soooo jealous of the Hot air Balloon festival - I had no idea! I really have to be there for it next year, I love them! Looks like you are having an awesome time!
Your kids sound like my kids and the photos could be same but you are WAY more on the ball. Bryson made up his mind on his costume but I have yet to get it. Kaitlyn has changed her mind 3-4 times every day to a variety of things. The sugar cookies looked liked ours will... We made the dough today and will make it tomorrow. We love you!
