*i love you more than 7 ...*

I was on the soccer field and Jared was watching on the sidelines. I played on 3 teams that summer in Seattle-- so much in fact that both toenails on my big toes fell off. It was a night game. When the game ended I headed over the hill where JB was waiting for me. Several friends on my team had suggested going out for some "drinks" after the game so I ran it by him-- but he didn't seem to interested. I was pretty tired and sweaty so I suggested going to his house and watching a movie-- but Jared casually said that he had somewhere else in mind. We both had our cars there so I followed him about half way to the destination. This is before cell phones so I followed him blindly thinking "where the heck is he going?" and then I felt a little nervous thinking that he might be about to do something I thought he would never do. We found somewhere to park my car and I rode in his car with him the rest the way into the city. Well, it soon became apparent that he was deciding on the destination on the fly and I was a little confused why we had to come all the way into the city to get a drink. Finally Jared settled on his office building-- the only place that he had access to at 11 PM on a Thursday night. I was still in my sweaty soccer clothes so Jared pulled some of his clothes out of the trunk of his car for me to wear. We headed to one of the top floors of a skyscraper in Seattle-- up to the KPMG office on the 56th floor. Jared gave me a little tour of the break room and we settled on hot chocolate and apple cider for drinks. We looked around the office for a bit and ended up in one of the conference rooms. The view was quite spectacular and we turned the lights out to see it better. The next few moments are a bit fuzzy in mind because it happened so fast. I don't remember exactly what Jared said, but I do remember him kneeling down in front of me with a ring box and asking me to be his wife. Both of us shed tears of joy that night. When I think back on it now it seems a little comical... me in Jared's oversized clothing, still sweaty from my soccer game - Jared proposing to me in a conference room in his office building - but in my heart I remember the feelings - the excitement, the love, the anticipation, and the joy -and really and none of those other factors really matter, because that night was an eternal moment for us.

So much has happened since that Summer in Seattle -- Marriage, BYU, the "pigeon coop", Georgia and J.D., graduation, Middle School in South Jordan, CPA, PWC, California, Sam B., SVB Alliant, Mia B., CFA, Partners Group, Switzerland... and now NYC and #3.

I love you more than ever Babe-- there's no one I'd rather share adventures with in this life and throughout Eternity. Happy Anniversary.

We don't know-- we could keep this one a "secret" and do it the old fashioned way since we have both a boy and a girl already... We haven't decided. But we're thrilled.
