Over the summer, we went to our family reunion at Fort Worden in Port Townsend, Washington. Before the reunion, I stumbled on a little site that informed me that this is one of the most haunted places in the United States. "Sweet" methinks, "we can have a little ghost hunt!" I hustled Travis, Jared's brother and his girlfriend into going on a leisurely midnight ghost hunt. So, the website informed us that you can't see the ghosts, but they will appear as "orbs" in pictures. So we got in our car and drove over to the guardhouse, a known hot spot. Well, folks, see for yourselves...
That's right. We caught a few of these orbs on camera. That last picture where you see the bright while light in the window... well, when we took the picture it was pitch dark. That is not a reflection, lens flare, or a raindrop of any sort. Yes, I know your mind is racing and adrenaline is coursing through your veins. We were screaming and all freaked out and it was awesome. Anyway, you think the story ends there do you? Well. When we were in Florence over the summer we stayed in a building from the 14th century a.k.a freaking old. They had really cool architecture and furniture and I was taking pictures of the flat with the lights on and no flash and caught this whammy of an orb red handed... floating around the very apartment we were staying in. Check it out.

You can choose to be a believer or not... (Jared is an unbeliever) but when you take pictures of your sweet little pumpkins on Halloween night you might want to look a little bit closer to see what might be in the picture with them... (evil cackle).

Nice post -- very interesting indeed -- Ellicott City (our town, for now) has ghost tours -- we really need to go before we move . . .
Great to see what you're up to . . .
Haha...are you sure your lens is clean? Just teasing. I can't bash it until I try it...
Umm... for some reason orbs in pictures seriously scare me. I made the mistake of checking this post late last night before I went to bed all by myself. I had to jump quick into my bed after turning the light of and force myself not to think about your orbs while falling asleep. Thanks a lot Alyssa.
I was there and attest to the truthfullness and reality of ORBS! I will say I'm a believer. And when we drove down that wooded street to the cemetary--FREAKY! I got wierd feelings that whole night. Maybe I'll be an Orb for halloween.
Ok, Lys! Not fair that I decide to check your blog when I am home alone!! Those pictures are FREEKY! True or not, something is in the picture, right? Now I will definitely wait for Keith to come home before I go to bed!
