*adult for a day*

My husband gave the best gift to me for Mom's Day.  I took a little trip down to DC on the train (through 7 states in 4 hours) to meet me Mum and Pop for a little trip.  My dad had some business there and my mom was accompanying him.  I had 48 hours all to myself to be a real adult.  It was amazing.  Not too long and not too short.  So what did we do?

Did a little sight seeing... (Alyssa, Dad, and Mom at the White House)

Had some laughs... (had to be there...)

Appreciated fine art at the National Gallery of Art...  (I loved this picture by Monet... A portrait of his Wife and Son)

Relived history at the National Archives... (Homestead agreement for the Little House on the Prairie!  I was so excited.)
I guess we saw some other important documents too...

And stayed in a very UN-kid friendly Hotel.

Thanks for letting me crash your trip Mom and Dad!  Thanks for the day off, JB!

That is cool to not have to deal with any kids for 2 whole days. Strange too.

I get the picture in front of the IRS. For real.

You were so relaxed! I had a great time too. It was too short for me. Oh, I cut my hair again, by myself and I like it.
