*green gators*

Sam's soccer season ended on Saturday. He's had such a fun time playing on his first team, the green gators. He ended the season by scoring two break-away goals toward a glorious victory. Actually, that's not quite true. He actually scored 3 goals... one was for the other team (their only score of the game, FYI). He felt sorry for them.

Sam breaks away for a goal

GO GREEN GATORS!

Not too manly to play with a pink ball.

Good game!!

At his soccer party I was asked to share something that I love about Sam, and I thought I'd share it with you.

I love that Sam is so very determined. If he sets his mind to something there is no stopping him! Since he turned five he has mastered blowing bubbles with bubble gum, whistling, and riding a bike without training wheels. Right now he is working on snapping his fingers- and he's almost got it! He is also very persistant when he is asking Mom for something he really wants (but I don't like that so much.) The world needs more people who don't give up. Keep up the determination Sam, it will take you far!
I love you,
Mom

you can see a lot of Jared in him... course you are quite a skilled soccer player yourself, Lys, so I hear.

GOOOOO SAMMY!!!!!!

I love your post below. We saw the news this morning that some protestors were at the NY temple. How sad.

Thanks for posting those facts below ...

Hooray for the enod of soccer! Actually only 2/3 are done here -- just found out S has a tournament, or something.

Nice post before the soccer one, by the way. It's good to remember that we are not the only ones . . .

Aw- Sam. He looks too big. Kiss him for me and tell him to stop growing.

The determination sounds like Jared as well as the soccer. What a special kid!

He got whistling before snapping his fingers? I STILL can't whistle and Tally makes fun of me. Way to go Sam, what a stud!

I think Ollie may have felt bad and scored for the other team in one of his games too. Sweet boys.

Why do you think I am missing you particularly bad today?
