This morning was his first time on the bus. I have to admit that I have been more nervous about the bus than the actual school experience. So we walked to the bus stop this morning and waited for it to come. I was so nervous! Would he cry when he had to get on? Well, the bus pulled up and he climbed right in, smiled for the picture, and sat down-- like he was an old pro. As he was pulling away I got a little choked up. I guess this is the first sever of the apron strings and it stings a little. I am excited for him, scared for him, and really proud of him. He'll do great.
Good luck today baby Boy.

Oh- I got a little teary-eyed just reading that. Maybe he's tied to my apron a little too! Boy I miss you guys. Give him a big hug for me. He looks so big in those pictures. We gotta get out there to see you before he grows up!
AWWWWW! Isn't it so sad! We are missin Em too! You are so brave to do the bus, I am a whimp and masochistic so we drive her...
Brings back memories of those first days - I remember having to turn away quickly so my little one couldn't see me crying, then I cried all the way home. Happened first time - and every time a new one left the nest. Guess that's mom's for you!
Give Sam a high-five from grandma for being so grown-up and give Mia hugs and kisses for being a big sister and mommy's helper and squeeze Eli tight for me. Love ya all, grandma b
I like your words "It looks like a lot of fun." That is what kindergarten is all about I think, so sounds like a good year to come. Wow, the emotions these kids and new situations put us moms through. What a tender moment for you with your first kindergartener!
Way to go Sam! What a big kid.
Wow. My eyes are watering. Watching your first get on that school bus must be hard to watch.
I've never put the kids on the bus, but watching them walk away on their own to class, I can imagine is a similar feeling.
Your heart sinks and the second you get home, you feel a little empty. Seeing them at the end of the day is so much fun, a renewed energy ...
I can't believe he's already in Kindergarten! Seems like yesterday he was in a car seat with a sippy cup on our many adventures in a minivan watching Nemo!
... i miss you ...
Wow. Is that the same little boy who used to talk in a voice that sounded like Grover but cuter? Congratulations to both of you for making it through.
That's so funny that he said he liked the bus better than school. Kenzi said the same thing for the same reason he did. haha Oh well- go figure. Email me and tell me about your trip. Or maybe I'll just call you. Loves-
What a bittersweet experience. He looks so confident and excited.
He is so big I can hardly believe my eyes. I know that it's going to be a hard day for me too. I think it just means you're a really good mom. You guys look great and we miss you
