*identity crisis*

Me: "Mia, can you put away your toys?"

Whomever at the moment (hereafter WATM): "I am not Mia!"

Me: "Who are you?"

WATM: "I'm Annalise."

Me: "Ok, Annalise, put away your toys."

WATM: "I'm not Annalise!"

Me: "Ok, who are you?"

WATM: "I'm Genevieve"

Me: "Ok, Genevieve..."

Now run that on a 10 hour cycle and you have my day. Mia just can't decide which princess she wants to be. She fluctuates between all of the Barbie Movie princesses... Annalise, Erica, Genevieve, Odette, Annika, Alina... and the Disney princesses... Jasmine, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty ("Cinder-booty"), Arial, Snow white... and she even adds some super hero women in... Wonder woman, Supergirl, and Lois Lane. She always identifies herself to me and then tells me who I am. Heaven forbid I forget my identity so she reminds me constantly- "I'm Annalise and you're Erika."
Sam has the same problem, on a smaller scale of course because he is more commited to his alter-ego. He also has clothing clues which are nice. In any one day he can be Superman (cape, superman shirt), Clark "Klent" (Mainly on Sundays because he can't wear his Superman stuff to church so he wears his Superman shirt under his church shirt), and when he's feeling nice he'll be various princes to please Mia... Derek, Dominic, Aiden (usually wears his rainboots with his pants tucked in the top, and his bike helmet to represent his armor)... and on and on. Seriously, the converasation the kids are having at this very minute is:

M: You're Derek.
S: I am not Derek, I am Superman.

So I can only come to one conclusion: it's a good thing I am a Queen and a Supermom or I might not be able to handle these kids!

You are a super mom and you have really cute super kids.

Can I be added to your cool people list?

Alyssa, This cracks me up! I just want to be there and see the dialogue in person. Sam and Mia are adorable. You are so funny. Keep writing!

I love to read your entries too! You are so funny!! I too wish I was there in person to see the dialoge take place. My life is pretty much "Mine", "No, Mine!" all day long.

I am with you in the identity crisis. My daughter sticks with princesses for the most part but Russell truly believes he is a tractor. He gets so mad if you call him anything but Tractor, and when he says his prayers at night... "bless Mommy, Daddy, Emma, Tractor..." Silly kiddo! Dont you love it!?
