Contrary to popular belief, and possibly to some people's chagrine, the Barlows haven't fallen off the face of the Earth. We've had a busy month and now I am not sure whether its easier to work hard or hardly work. (I have been doing the latter.) I will separate all of our events in about 5 different postings as to ease the eyes of our reader.
Easter
A few weeks ago the kids and I had an Easter egg hunt with some of our good friends in the Zurich area. Actually it was more of a "everyone bring candy and lets scatter it in the grass for the kids to find" hunt. But of course, the kids didn't mind that the eggs were chocolate (and neither did my thighs). There was plenty to go around.

Sam was a good hunter and found lots of candy right off the bat. When he realized that Mia was being left in the dust by lots of the older kids he immediately went on defensive for the team. He focused all attention on coaching Mia and filling her basket. It was very cute to watch him make sure she had enough candy. As you will see in the next picture, which I have entitled "Sugar coma" she definately had enough.

As you can see, Sam was pretty pleased with the outcome.
Props to me section:
So occasionally I get an itch to be crafty. This time it was crocheting Easter baskets for the kids. Here are the finished products. Pretty cute if I do say so myself (thus the heading).

In Switzerland you get a 4 day weekend for Easter. Our branch at Church holds an "Easter Camp" where everybody in the branch goes to a location and parties for all four days. So we headed up to Wildhaus, Switzerland not really knowing what to expect. It was really awesome. We stayed in this hostel type building where every family has their own room with bunkbeds according to the number of family members. The food was excellent, the company was good, and there were lots of fun activities to do. They had a dance party, a hike with a brotwurst roast in the mountains, an Easter hunt (at night with glow sticks and flashlights), lots of sports and game playing, and late nights. It was really good to get to know the "inner Swiss sanctum". They can be (almost) as crazy as we are when they let thier hair down. One thing I have suspected for a while but wasn't sure of was confirmed for me on this trip... they really are part mountain goat.

Happy Easter!
